Information on this website
The content of this website is general information only. It isn’t legal, financial, tax or property advice, and you shouldn’t rely on it as such. Property and tenancy law changes, and it differs between England and Wales. Take advice from your own solicitor, conveyancer or adviser about your circumstances.
Worked examples on this site are illustrative. They’re not real clients, and they don’t predict the outcome for your property.
Valuations, offers and timescales
- Any figure given before we’ve seen the property and completed our checks is an indication only.
- A firm offer is made in writing. It’s subject to contract and to the usual legal checks.
- In England and Wales, a sale becomes legally binding only on exchange of contracts. Until then, either party may withdraw.
- Timescales described on this site, such as “typically 14–28 days”, are typical, not guaranteed. They depend on factors including the legal work, searches, third parties such as freeholders or lenders, and the Probate Registry where relevant.
Fees
Where we buy your property directly, or introduce you to an investor buyer, we don’t charge you a fee. Where we introduce you to a partner estate agent, that agent’s own terms and fees apply to you, and they will set them out before you agree to anything. You are responsible for your own conveyancing costs on every route.
Introductions to partner firms
If we think a partner estate agent or investor buyer could achieve a better outcome for you, we’ll ask your permission before introducing you. We may receive a fee from them if a sale results. This doesn’t increase what you pay. See our privacy policy for how your data is handled.
Acceptable use
Please don’t submit false information, attempt to access restricted parts of the site, send spam or malicious code through our forms, or copy the site’s content without permission.
Intellectual property
The content, design and branding of this website belong to PropGain UK Limited or its licensors.
Links to other websites
We link to external organisations such as gov.uk, MoneyHelper and the Property Redress Scheme for your information. We’re not responsible for their content.
Liability
We take care to keep this website accurate but can’t guarantee it’s always complete or up to date. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for losses arising from reliance on the website’s general information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Wales, this doesn’t affect any rights you have under Welsh law.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with anything we’ve done, please tell us — we’d like the chance to put it right.
- Contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone on 07480 559345, with a brief description of the problem.
- Acknowledgement: we aim to acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days.
- Investigation and response: we aim to give you a full written response within 8 weeks, and usually much sooner.
- Independent redress: if you’re not satisfied with our final response, or 8 weeks have passed, you can refer your complaint free of charge to the Property Redress Scheme (membership number PRS056317) at theprs.co.uk. Referrals are normally expected within 12 months of our final response.
